Venus and Jupiter
I have been watching the sky for weeks and was convinced that there were planets visible in those early morning hours. Unfortunately, I had no one to ask so I tried to figure some of it out myself. I pretty much guessed that Venus was one of them, hanging out by the moon. After the "change the clocks" thing, I lost track of them. This morning, one of the Amtrak conductors jumped off the train with a couple of riders to point out to them how Venus and Jupiter were up in the sky next to each other. Apparently, it's a big deal. Anyway, after weeks of guess, it really is a planet that I've been watching. (And the timing of it all just seems a bit funny).

Updates
I was just thinking about it but the star gazing at the train station this past fall and winter wasn't great in the mornings. I wonder if there are more lights or something, but when I'm running out the door on a clear day, I can see some of the big constellations (Orion, Big Dipper) with the occassional planet, but at the train station... nothing. Strange.
