Leesen verrry carefully, I weel zay zis only once...

I grew up (and still do) watch a lot of PBS. Back years ago, I came across a show on PBS called ‘Allo ‘Allo (imdb entry). To this day I have no idea how I got involved with it but I would try to stay up until 11pm on Saturday nights to watch it. I ended up recording as many episodes as I could because I think at some point they started playing it on weeknights too.

Anyway, I was searching the web the other day to find out when another TV show I watch was going to release its next season on DVD (don't ask, you probably don't want to know). So I found a web site listed TV show DVD release news!!! So to make a long story short, I started browsing the TV titles from the start and fell on 'Allo 'Allo. Now I’d seen that Region 2 DVDs had been released for years but not Region 1 (where I am). I nearly [blank] myself when I realized that Series 1 was released about a year ago. I must not have looked recently for it. I just about started with the whole tears of joy thing. And, sure enough, Series 2 was released just a few weeks ago. I don’t think I’ve added items to my shopping cart so fast in my life.

My purchase arrived last night and I barely put my bags down before I ripped open the box and dug out my long-awaited DVDs (we're talking years at this point). I skipped my usual pre-Lost and Alias Wednesday nights shows in favor of a few 'Allo 'Allo episodes. They are so addictive. I barely made it to my nightly chores and such. I don't think I've laughed this much in months.

Oh and did I forget to mention that my car color is "Nighthawk Black"?? Yes, that actually was a selling point. (Hint: That's Rene's code name).

Updates

The excitement continues. Series 3 arrived a couple of days ago. I preordered it in May. I'm going to sneak in an episode or two tonight. The British Airmen are still hiding and there's need for cheese ear plugs.
