Daylight Sleepy Time
My co-worker coined the phrase this morning and I think he hit the nail on the head. My allergies have been driving me crazy for the last week (to the point I don't think I've been sleeping well). On top of that add the whole "spring ahead" clock thing and ... volia, I could have fallen asleep hours ago.
Last year, at about this time, we looked up the whole explanation of the daylight saving (not savings) time thing. I thought it was because the calendar would get messed up if they didn't adjust the hours. (I think I'm thinking of leap years). Turns out it's a safety thing. There's less crime and accidents in the daylight so they adjust the hours twice a year so that we have more daylight. Make sense but the first week is a real bummer - almost like jetlag.
