Revenge of the Sith, I have seen.

Only about a week later than planned, but Mom and I scooted off to the movies for a 10:30 am showing this morning of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. That was one powerful movie even with the typical Lucas dialog. Revenge answered open questions. Dark, very dark. There were a few pieces of the Star Wars puzzle that I've known for years. Apparently the books (or maybe they were graphic novels) were already written on how things came to be. I never saw them myself, just heard about how it would happen (and it did).

The one thing I really wanted to know (and was answered) was how the ships from the original movies would mesh with the ships from the new movies. (I figure I can discuss this piece without giving anything really away.) Let's face it. The new movies had nicer looking ships - sleek and shiny. The original movies had ships that would remind you of battleships - clunky and boxy. They were not the sleek ships of Episodes 1 and 2. (Yes, I know these movies were done YEARS ago.) Anyway, during the opening sequence Revenge, you saw (nicer renditions) of the boxy, battleship looking Star Cruisers and Star Destroyers. I always figured you would write-off the loss of the "pretty" ships to an age of darkness, a "dark ages" of sorts. With the Emperor at the helm, pretty was no longer a priority. Lucas definitely did a good job at bridging the gap between the original movies and the prequels. Well done Mr. Lucas. Now if I could just get it on DVD... soon enough.

Here's the real question. If I want to do my own movie marathon, what do I watch first? Do I watch it in episode order or release order? I think I've always done release order. I'll have to try episode order at some point and see how it all works out.

Looking for movie quotes from Revenge of the Sith? Check out IMDB's memorable quotes for the movie. Finding a one liner - unless it's from Yoda - isn't particularly easy and sometimes you need a bit of context around quotes. This one from Obi-wan Kenobie is amusing: "Flying is for droids".
