Today is the first day...

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. Boy, that sounds profound. Seriously. Today is the first day after completing school - and getting my final grade. I'm semi-unofficially done. Maybe I'm still running on the adrenaline of yesterday, but I was up at my usual time and ready to go. My plan for the day was to run to the store, try some cooking and do some weeding (the backyard is a bit overgrown).

So I ran to Target and picked up a few things including a huge Chef's knife. Sweet. I decided to make a lightweight Chili. I used to make this a few years ago when I lived out on my own. I figure I'll save myself some money compared to the pre-made rice bowls I've been eating. One meal down, several to go. I did one round of dishes this morning but I managed to make a huge mess during cooking. (I need to clean that up) I've spent about an hour weeding so far. There's one more space that I need to finish today and then I'll try again tomorrow.

Assuming I can keep my motivation up, maybe I'll run to the Office Supply store and check it out. I'm trying to figure out if there's anything I need. I guess I could run to the mall and check out the Clinique counter.

Mom's right. I don't know what to do with myself now that my head's clear of school.
