Would you believe it's been quiet?

It's actually been quiet, if you can believe that. It been a while since I've had a quiet couple of days. With my brain being as overloaded as it was for a while, I almost don't know what to do with myself. I received a few books last night that I ordered last week. I skimmed one of them on the way into work this morning. The book's subject really wasn't any too interesting for the regular person, just some business tax and law stuff. Oh yes, the fun never ends.

Mom mentions every once in a while that she'd love to open some sort of business - not that we've decided on one yet or are even seriously considering it - but I figure I might as well expand my knowledge on the business aspect. It's somewhat like my plan to buy a townhouse. It's not going to happen any time soon, but I might as well start reading/learning about it now so I can be prepared for later. Now that I have the time to learn about things other than databases and data warehouses and information technology management in general, I can touch on some other subjects.

Yes, I’ll still be reading up on search engine optimization/marketing and web design techniques, but I need to expand my mind in various directions. Ok, enough of that because I think I’m getting a bit too philosophical for the day.

I do have an update on the plan for my network. While trying to design a layout for my web design/technology blog, I stumbled upon a design for a different blog. How much sense did that make? Basically I was trying to design site A and ended up with site B instead. So site B, yet to be announced, will probably be finished before my web design/technology blog. I have a pretty good idea of how I want to proceed with a rough draft layout in hand. Now I just need to finalize and code it up. I’m even trying to figure out if I can go pure CSS, no table layout, with that one. It's a fairly simple design. Perfect for a first attempt at CSS layout. Wish me luck!
