Didn't Follow My Typical Saturday

My typical Saturday involves me rolling out of bed and off to stores to buy the same things every week. I drop by Target and the grocery store to pick up stuff to make my lunch. It’s expensive eating in the city every day and I’m on a budget. Every couple of weeks I stop for gas before coming home to prepare some of my daily “work” lunch stuff. I put on some sunscreen and grab a snack before running outside for an hour to weed some of the back landscaping. After that, I generally end up vegging for the rest of the day. The 5 A.M. wake-up calls have me pretty wiped by the weekend.

Today, on the other hand just didn’t follow the usual routine. It was such a gloomy, humid day that I didn’t think I’d be able to get outside to do some weeding. I ended up spending more time as the stores than planned. I did take a walk first thing this morning and later in the afternoon. I’m trying to do 2 sets of exercise on weekend days. I don’t want the doctor to scold me again. Did you ever just have one of those days that you seem to rebel from your usual routine and want to do nothing? I think that is what happened to me today so I spent most of the day watching my Alias Season 2 DVDs instead.

Mom and I went out for dinner and putzed around the mall for a little while to look at accessories for the upcoming family wedding and her birthday party. It was a day of little accomplishment and for some reason the highlighters that I bought in the morning are nowhere to be found. That’s annoying.
