Don't Go Walking in the Rain
So after going to the family wedding last weekend, I've been feeling a little off. I figured it was the hotel stay as I've been known to be allergic to hotels. (Pathetic, I know) Since I figured it was just allergies or maybe a sore throat from the teeth-whitening stuff, I didn't see any harm in walking in the rain Wednesday night. That was a mistake. Yesterday, I was miserable for the bulk of the day. By the evening I felt even worse and to top it off, I needed to take Mom to the Emergency Room for what turned out to be a pair of large kidney stones. Hospital waiting rooms were not designed for sleeping unfortunately. At least it was a quick 3-hour trip. Even before that long night, I realized there was no way that I'd make it into work today. When I get sick, I get very sick.
It's going to be a long weekend between my head cold and Mom’s "pair of pearls". They'll need a bit more help than cranberry juice to get resolved. That will be the fun Monday assuming they can wait that long. Between the two of us, we're a mess. So I won't make it into work on Monday either. With this head cold, I'm not sure I would have made it there anyway. I'm not one of those people that can sleep a day and feel 150% better. Go figure.
Now if only my head would stop pounding or feeling like its going to explode, this would make things slightly easier.

Updates
I think my head has finally stopped pounding. I can lay off some of the medications. I hate taking that stuff for too long.

Boy did I sleep badly last night. I've gone from a stuffed head to a crazy cough. Lovely. Now I just have to wait for Mom to be sonic blasted.
