I agree with him on something

I don't think I'd ever see that the day that I would agree with President Bush on an issue. While I have great respect for the the Office of the President, I'm not always a fan of the guy in the Oval.

Anyway, Crichton is actually the reason behind this one. I just finished State of Fear. One concept out of that book is it is really not known how much we contribute environment change and how much of it would have happened anyway. I think the Kyoto Protocol was mentioned in the book as it was just said by the President, wouldn't do much good. Two other big Green House Gas producing countries haven't signed on (China and India). But even still, is the Earth warming at the alarming speeds that the media says it is? That's probably the bigger question.

Now its not to say we should continue going on burning up all the fossil fuels because the Earth will warm up regardless (the pace is up for debate). Our (the US's) dependence on foreign oil and oil in general isn't a good thing. We definitely need new fuel sources. Is it as much of a save the environment thing as much as it is a limited resource thing, I don't know.

For as much as I think I agree with him about this particular subject (based on some seriously limited knowledge), there are other things (list is longer than I'd like to admit) I definitely don't agree with. We are entitled to our opinions, right? Like him if you want.
