My To-Do List
I previously mentioned that there were a bunch of updates and modifications that I'd love to do this website. Here's a list of what I'm thinking:
Handle updates better. I just try to wedge them into the entry body and it's not working.- Open up the comments feature. I see that Movable Type has a new version expected out soon. I'll check that out and consider it then.
- Open up trackbacks. Again, I think I'll hold off until MT 3.2 is available.
- Try some pings and trackbacks of my own. I setup a test blog on another domain to try out these features that I haven't implemented yet.
- Remove my inline background image. (That pulled image down the left-hand side that looks pulled.) I tried CSS when I first built the website but it didn't work. I need to get that working.
- Try out scheduled publishing. I occassionally write entries for the future and I'd be nice to be able to show up on command - or on date for that matter.
- Create and implement some sort of "on state" for the top navigation. It looks naked and unfinished without one.
- Create my customized statistics tracker. Since I account for a lot of my own traffic, I want to know where real visitors are coming from and what spiders are hitting what pages.
I think that's it for now. I'll mark them off as I get them done.

Updates
Depsite a long weekend, I haven't made any additional progress on my to-do list. I did take a few minutes to fix the color on my "Updates" box. It looked completely washed out on my laptop. Go figure.

Still busy with work and such so my progress on the list hasn't made it much further, but I have been lightly beta testing the next Movable Type version for a few days. I'm excited about it and I think I'll be able to open the comments and trackbacks once it goes to an official release.

Beta 3 has been released with the expectation of being the final version so it should be going to public release soon. I have a part-time side gig at the moment but hope to have some time to chip at my to-do list.
