Stop with the Moving Targets Obstacle Course

Did you ever just have one of those days where you were done and just wanted to go home? Since the Fall, I've been traveling to my job using the local train station as opposed to trekking down the Interstate to a further away one. You would think that would just make the drive much less eventful, right?

Anyway, the last 2 days have not been stellar for driving my 4 miles home. Yesterday I had to share the narrow road with a biker. They make me incredibly nervous. Now I though that bike riders were to abide by the rules of the road. This particular guy weaved in between stopped cars at an intersection in order to get in front of everyone?? I thought that was taboo. Am I wrong with my understanding of the roads? Well at least the guy held me up for a few extra seconds at the intersection because had I been traveling 20 second sooner, I would have had a baseball though my driver's side window - at full speed!!! Luckily, as I driving, I saw it fly 15 feet in front of me. Somebody's looking out for me again. Again with the philosophical outlook.

And then today, here we go again. There was a biker on a narrow road, different one from yesterday. I got around him just in time to watch a trash truck stopping and starting for each house. I had to time it right to get around him, just as the road widened, while another car pulled into the road all before the oncoming traffic made up the distance (at a relatively slow speed of course). I've had a long day and am no FBI-trained driver. Can I just drive my 4 miles home in peace?
