I Smell Like a Rotten Orange

Apparently I was having a morning this morning because as I was sitting there enjoying my morning muffin and orange juice, my finger tapped my bottle of juice and over it tipped onto my cool wireless keyboard. UGH!!! To make matters more fun, the wave of juice managed to make its way down my entire left leg. The good news is that the amount of juice on my keyboard was significantly less than my leg but my leg was still left cold and wet. And, smelling like a rotten orange after awhile.

Good, bad or indifferent, I tossed my keyboard on the floor upside down in some vain hope to keep the keys from getting further soaked in juice. Apparently that was not completely successful because by the end of the day, a few of keys were starting to get fairly sticky. At least in my juice spilling frenzy I didn’t short-circuit anything or juice my PDA.

Updates

My double-u key doesn't work. I just thought that my "S" key was hosed but it seems that my "W" is in worse shape. By the end of today, it was barely moving or each "W" keystroke resulted in multiple "W". My co-worker showed me how to pop my keys off (I found an extra stylus in my bag) and with a damp napkin, I was able to make some functionality improvement. I'm going to bring q-tips and rubbing alcohol tomorrow. If you put your nose too close the keyboard, you can smell the stale juice.

Well the alcohol was mildly successful. I can't decide if I feel a difference between the keys on the juice side and the non-juice side. The keys have always had an interesting touch. Granted, I'm not going to run out tomorrow and buy a new wireless keyboard/mouse set. I think I salvaged it for the most part.
