My Sense Of Smell Is Miss-Wired
I'm not kidding. My sense of smell seems to be backwards or miss-wired. With all of the trauma my poor nose sustained while in high school, it's not wonder. It's not that I don't smell things but it's become apparent that I don't always smell things that other people do or I smell things that other people don't. Did you follow that?
Two train buddies and myself were on the platform the yesterday and apparently, there was a nasty smell in the air to the point they were both making faces. Honestly, I thought I smelled something (aka ripe garbage) but nothing that was going to make me sick. It was very faint, nearly unnoticeable. It wasn't that my nose was overly stuffed to save me from such nastiness either.
It was truly strange, but when we entered the enclosed waiting area, I remarked about how badly I thought that smelled. I think it was some form of mildew, or maybe it was just old, that I found repulsive. The place could really use a facelift as it looks like some of the wood is rotting away. They, on the other hand, smelled nothing! Considering one of the girls is pregnant with an oversensitive sense of smell, you would think that she would have picked up on it. Really, I'm not imagining things. Or maybe it's just because I'm allergic to mold and mildew that I pick up on these things faster than others.
Or maybe, it's just that my sense of smells is kooky. Not surprise there.
