Getting Sucked Back Into Soaps

After years of being "soap free" I think the soap that I used to watch has now sucked me back in. Mom got me into "Days of Our Lives" years ago when Marlena was possessed by the devil. At least I think it was the devil. She was possessed. There was a whole story line about the exorcism, head spinning and all. I continued the watch the show for a few years after that. I enjoyed the story line about a couple named Carrie and Austin. They kept running into obstacles in trying to get together. When Carrie finally left the show, my schedule changed and I just lost track of the show.

On the news each morning, I catch a quick 30 second overview of the week’s storyline and after years, they were advertising the return of Carrie and a reuniting with Austin. I don’t know if it’s a long term thing or just a brief storyline, but it has me interested. Considering a bunch of my favorite shows are (or have been) cancelled, I have a void to fill.

I’m excited so I caught a few of last week’s episodes on the Soap channel late last night and even the new episode this afternoon. I think I’ll setup my VCR to keep up, otherwise I think I can get a rerun of the day’s episode at 7pm on the Soap channel.
