Not A Particularly Zen Day

If it's not one thing, it's another. The day didn't start off an a particularly good foot when there was an announcement at my local train station that service was indefinitely suspended due to signal problems. That's like having no traffic lights. Without a cop there to direct traffic, chaos ensues.

Needless to say, after about 10 minutes thinking about it, I decided it was time to drive to my old route. I offered to take a few people with me – 2 which I saw regularly and one that had to head further south. That lady ended up bailing on us and decided to drive to DC herself. We were not going anywhere near that far and getting her into Philly may not have been sufficient.

On top of that, the package delivery company was supposed to hold my Apple order (iPod supplies like a charger, base earphones and a car FM-modulator), tried to deliver it again this afternoon. Duh! I told them it was going to be another failed attempt.

So after work, I drove to the warehouse to pick up my order. The phone service said nothing about it wouldn't be available until after a specific time. I thought I knew how to get there but for some reason I couldn't find my way and took at least 6 wrong turns. UGH. I really wasn’t in the mood for that. And of course, to top it off my package wasn't back to the warehouse yet, but it should be there by 8pm. All I could do at that point was whimper.

Mom had to run out to see the grandparents and offered to try the warehouse again. HUGH THANK YOU! Luckily by the time she got there my package turned up. It was a huge deal for a relatively unimportant package that wasn't clearly marked Apple. Now I could see if they had a huge logo on the package (like the old Gateway "Cow" boxes), it would have been prime for stealing but you had to look very carefully at the label and know the company abbreviation to figure this one out.

Such a headache. Thanks Mom for your help!
