A Blast From The Past Smile

Mom and I went to the mall tonight to grab dinner after Church. She needed to pickup a little something for a good friend/co-worker's birthday that's coming up soon. Our favorite gift store closed down at some point within the last few months so finding little gifts to fill the need can be a little difficult these days. Bummer.

So we decided to try the other card store in the mall to see what trinkets they have. At the back of the store I found a collection of Care Bears! That was my little blast from the past smile for the year.

Back in the day I loved my Care Bear (Tenderheart I think) and my Dad would even take my coloring books into the office to turn them into clear overheads. I just thought it was the coolest thing that my coloring clear plastic sheets. It didn't take much to assume the 3 year-old me.

While Mom poked around the store looking for a good gift, I browsed the Care Bear collection. I was determined to buy one for the little bears. Actually, I opted for the larger size. It was too cute to pass up. It was a tough call because they for some reason they didn't say which bear was which but I decided on "Bedtime Bear" considering my favorite past time these besides watching horror movies is sleeping, it seemed to suit my personally perfectly. Grumpy Bear was a close second. I can definitely be fairly cranky after a long day, lol.

You have to admit, it was a nice blast from the past to run into these little guys, a definite smile.
