One More Vacation Day

Because I had to use 5 vacation days before March 31st, I also took today off. I figured I'd never make it back into the city to work today anyway and I wouldn’t have had anything for lunch. My goal for today was to bundle up months and months worth of newspapers to set out for recycling tomorrow. That turned into a bigger task than I realized because it was about 5 months of newspapers from 3 publishers with a few newspapers mixed in that were a year old! I'll have to keep better eye on the stash to avoid spending hours doing that again.

Mom asked me to pickup the birds from Birdie Camp. I can't decide if they were happy to see me or not. At least I did something right. It seems that we brought back the nice weather with us from Florida so that I could get the birds home without worrying about them getting cold.

While I was bundling the newspapers, I was also waiting for the UPS guy to drop off the two big boxes that we shipped the other day. I’m happy to report both boxes arrived safely. I had the delivery guy laughing as I grabbed the shoe box and he grabbed the granite box. There were a lot of packing peanuts (or angel poop) involved.

I could probably sleep for a week after all that work today moving newspapers.
