SciFi Comes Through

I was beginning to be convinced that the TV Execs didn’t want me watching TV anymore. I’m not kidding. The big-wigs seem to be canceling most of the shows that I watch. Alias ends it run in May. That is one of my favorite shows that I’ve been watching since the beginning. The West Wing, which I only got into in the last few years also ends it run at the end of the season. Charmed is on it’s last season. They didn’t renew Carnivale. That was the first HBO series that I watched. It was amazingly done. Dead Like Me was a cool show that they didn’t renew either. Rome won’t be back until early 2007, hopefully.

CBS did renew NCIS so I’m excited about that and The 4400 will be back this Summer.

But SciFi is really coming through. Ok, Andromeda ended but I’m not sure that was their decision or not. From what I’ve read Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica were all renewed. I have to admit it’s tough not to see Dean Andersen on SG-1 anymore, the new crew is definitely stepping up to the challenge. I just started following Battlestar Galactica this season and they really are doing a great job with the show. SciFi will also showing the new Doctor Who series tonight. I’m excited to see that one since I grew up watching the Doctor.

Having been brought up watching Sci Fi shows at an early age, I guess it all sounds about right.
