The Almost Chocolate Chip Cookie Conspiracy

Today Starbucks was giving out free coffee. Even though I don't drink coffee, I tagged along see how much commotion it was causing. Amazingly things were rather quiet. From what I hear, it was actual Starbucks coffee that they served and in decent size cups. Nicely done Coffee Giant.

I suddenly had a craving for a chewy chocolate cookie. The salad place up the block has super chewy cookies but it was just too cold to walk that far. Yes, I am a wimp.

I later found out that one of my coworkers was going to the salad place to get lunch so I asked him to pick me up a cookie. He came back cookie-less and said they didn't have any. Grumble. Thanks for trying.

After lunch, I decided that I really couldn’t wait any longer so I tried the lunch place around the corner that also has good cookies. I got up the counter and didn’t see any chocolate chip cookies! What, do they have them either? I finally spied the last few chocolate chip cookies on the plate. Thank goodness.

The cookie was pretty chewy and hit the spot.
