The Big Daddy Mess (updated)

After realizing that most of the pages from my site were dropped from Google, I come to find out that it’s not something that I necessarily did but a change in assumptions at Google. You need a lot more quality links (natural preferred of course) to get indexed these days. A PR 4 is now like what was a PR1. It's frustrating and I think the logic is kooky. A site could still be completely relevant and useful without a lot of backlinks – especially when you're talking about obscure topics or small local mom-and-pop type websites.

Redesigned-ish

After about a month of working with version 2, I've redesigned again to give the site a more polished look. V.2 just wasn't working for me. Using elements from both version 1 and 2, 1+2 really does equal v.3.

The Accidental Bonsai

Mom used her Saturday off to some yardwork including starting to take down a leaning evergreen tree in the backyard. By the time she was done for the day, it looked a like badly done bonsai tree.

Don't Count Gibbs Out Yet

At the end of the 3rd (2005-2006) season, Special Agent Gibbs turned in his badge and stormed out of the office after a crew and ship was lost. He disagreed with the decision that sscaraficed the lives of the crew members. The show wouldn’t be the same without Gibbs. He’s a strong character. Never fear. Word on the street is that Mark Harmon, the actor that plays Gibbs, is not leaving the show. It’s a little early for storyline spoilers but at least now I can have a peaceful summer.

Apparently I'm a Liberal

In the Library community some like historical fiction and some don't. In my opinion, I think it's important that people are at least reading and that maybe they'll be interested to learn more on the subject. Apparently that makes me a liberal.

Was She Talking To Me?

I'm not sure if a lady on the platform was mouthing to me, from a distance, that she thought my hair was cute. I really thought she was talking to someone behind me. I hope I didn’t snub a nice compliment!

That’s Going to Hurt the Pocketbook

My next service appointment is going to cost a pretty penny but I may be able to save some money on my car insurance thanks to not driving too many miles on a regular basis.

Maybe Today Wasn’t So Bad After All (updated)

I tried leaving early from work to avoid having to rush to a doctor's appointment only to get stuck for about an hour with train problems. I did find 2 4-leaf clovers which seem to make things not so bad after all.

There’s Nothing Wrong With Eating Healthy

My coworker was poking fun at me today for eating healthy - apple pieces. I will break down and have M&Ms from time to time. They say dark chocolate is healthy.
