Happy Halloween
I had to hold down the fort tonight. Mom switched her night shift with a co-worker. Usually I’m on the grumpy side by the end of the day but I did enjoy tonight. The last several years, it’s been pretty quiet but this year we had a bunch more kids. We almost ran out of chip bags. Our next resort was pencils.
My neighbor’s twins were absolutely adorable in their costumes. I really don’t recognize any of the kids any more. One of the little boys was really cute. He did a little reverse trick-or-treat and I traded chips for a bag of pretzels.
I should have bought pumpkins this year. One thing led to another and the next I knew, it was Halloween. Halloween is probably one of top favorite holidays even if I don’t dress up anymore. Hiding in my closet was a cute “hugs and kisses” t-shirt that I pulled out to wear (skulls and cross bones of course). I found out way too late that the local farm is still running their haunted hayrides. Next year!
To make this whole thing easier, I moved my laptop downstairs to work on a hobby design project. Unfortunately my Internet connection is out but I was able to at least do some offline design work. They are scheduled to come out Thursday night to investigate.
