Chippage Report Day 4
It really wasn't a completely fair test. Not too long after I polished on Saturday, I stuck my hands in dishwater for about half hour followed by a half hour of weeding with a garden glove. The garden glove did leave some chips on my left hand. Between Saturday and Sunday I recoated with the respective test topcoats.
By Monday night, I had several large chips on my Seche Vite hand. Even by today, my Poshe hand was definitely holding up for the most part with less chips.
I've been hearing theories about nails too dry, too much calcium, natural nail oil, etc. Natural nail oil and usage wear-and-tear seem to be the popular theories on the web.
So I decided to reapply and see how the rest of the week goes – same two topcoast test. This time though, I did a quick sweep of nail polish remover right before applying to see if that seals the deal. It's supposed to neutralize the natural nail oil.
