Massive Power Trip

I had to borrow Mom's car. It's a big difference to drive her medium-sized SUV compared to my small SUV.

Semi-Productive for a 3-Day Weekend

Over the holiday weekend I did get some stuff done, but didn't get as much done as I would have liked. Mom sidetracked me.

Topped Off With a Touch of Frost Bite

It hasn't been the best of weeks. My employer entered into a merger and my ear has a touch of frost bite. At least I'm trying to exercise better and had lunch with a friend so made for an improvement.

Emergency Stocking Run

After a busy month of colds and craziness, in the 11th hour Mom decided to put up the Christmas tree. The stockings were no where to be found. I did a Target run to fill the void and made a lady laugh in the process.

Just Say Cheese

While attending my friend's daughter's baptism, I volunteered to play photographer. I hope they come out ok. And, I finally got around to moving my own photos into Flickr.

It was a busy day with some serious shopping (both for fun and a good cause), a haircut and some TV.

Happy Halloween

Halloween was busier this year than the previous. I had to hold down the fort. It was a nice night even after a long day.

Apparently We Stare the Same

Mom and I cruised down to Atlantic City to see Cyndi Lauper in concert. Her performance was great. We didn’t get to spend much time on the boardwalk. There was a bit of a fiasco with a drunk guy at the food stop after hours. 101 reasons to never get that drunk. The one thing we learned tonight was that Mom and I apparently stare the same.

Mission Streisand Complete

Mom, her friend and I traveled to NYC to see the big Barbra Streisand concert in her latest tour. We were there for the infamous heckler that received a resounding "Shut the F- up!". We saw a celebs. It was a concert that was definately different from her past performances.

I took 2 days off from work so I can go to a concert in Manhattan – Barbra Streisand. The tickets were a birthday gift for my mom.

Crazy Antics At The Local Steakhouse

Mom and I had dinner at the local steakhouse with our family friend/neighbor. It just turned into a kooky night with the waitress not liking the idea of eating lamb. Mom and our neighbor both ended up ordering that. I had a burger. We ended up laughing until our sides hurt with all the antics and kooky comments being passed around.

Waiting for Bunsen

I’ve been thinking about getting a new parrotlet since my little guy Beaker died in April. Today Mom found a baby at our favorite bird store and I’ve named him Beaker. He’s tiny, bald and adorable.

You Can’t Take Her Anywhere

Dinner out was a little crazier than usual when Mom stole forks from what seemed to be an unoccupied table only for it to be occupied. Oops. She did buy several packages of bottled water afterwards for Hurricane Relief efforts so the karma must have canceled itself out.

Mom and I took a road trip out to a family wedding. The wedding was lovely and it was great to see everyone. The hotel was better than the last place we stayed at, to some degree.

Dad's Fish Stories

Dad had told stories of big fish in the development's pond. I saw a family of fish this morning when I walked up to pond, each being about a foot long. This was no fish story.
