Topped Off With a Touch of Frost Bite

It hasn't been the best of weeks. My employer entered into a merger and my ear has a touch of frost bite. At least I'm trying to exercise better and had lunch with a friend so made for an improvement.

Out Sick

What I thought was sour stomach turned out to be some sort of virus as I had a fever too. I almost thought I could un-callout, but decided against it. Good thing. I still felt badly all day despite the fever breaking.

Are They Actually Allowed To Require That?

A friend of mine has to get a physical for her new job. The doctor conducting the physical told her to change her primary doctor to the office. Can they really do that? Is the employer requiring her to use a specific doctor? Is the employer trying to use my friend’s current insurance to cover the physical instead of paying for the "business expense" themselves?
